The examination is being held at 222 cities across the country for admissions to 111 engineering and technology colleges, including 23 coveted Indian Institutes of Technology. The overall number of applications for the JEE (Advanced) has dropped from 1.74 lakh in 2019 to 1.60 lakh this year. During JEE (Mains), many students were alarmed at the absence of Covid-19 standard operating procedures. Students are hoping that arrangements this time would be better. Last year, three candidates from Telangana were among the top 10 rankers in the JEE (Advanced).
