Bangalore University’s B.Com question paper leaked; exam put off – Times of India

BENGALURU: A final-year BCom exam of Bangalore University slated for Monday was postponed following an alleged question paper leak.

The question paper of Principles and Practice of Auditing was being circulated on WhatsApp around noon, while the exam was to start at 2pm. Around 40,000 students from 700-odd colleges were to take the exam at 205 centres. The exam was originally slated for September 28 but was postponed because of the Karnataka bandh.

“We have filed a complaint with cybercrime police. We do not know where the leak happened. The question papers are moved to centres as far as Kolar in the morning of the exam day itself. The leak could have happened any time. We passed on the information on postponement of exam to sitting squads of all centres by 1pm,” said BU vice-chancellor KR Venugopal.

The revised date will be informed soon, university officials said. This was supposed to be the last exam for undergraduate students, many of whom have been left disappointed.
