BPSSC SI Recruitment 2019: Main Written Examination
There will be two papers in the main examination, the first paper will be of two hours in general Hindi of 200 marks, which will have 100 questions and it will be mandatory for the candidates to get minimum qualifying marks of 30 percent, otherwise, they will be disqualified.
General Hindi exam scores will not be added for preparing the merit list. The second paper will be related to General Studies, General Science, Civics Indian History, Indian Geography, Mathematics, and Mental Aptitude Test. The second paper will be of 200 marks and the total number of questions will be 100 and the duration of the examination will be two hours. In each stage examination, 0.2 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. The answer booklet will be in duplicate, a copy of which will be kept with the Commission.
Based on the main written examination a merit list will be prepared and the candidates will be selected 6 times of the vacancies for the physical efficiency test. Candidates will only be required to pass the Physical Efficiency Test. In case of non-availability of a sufficient number of qualified candidates for the Physical Efficiency Test, the said ratio can be suitably reduced.
Bihar Police SI Recruitment 2019: Guidelines on tie in merit list
The merit list of the final successful candidates will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the main written examination.
In the case of two or more candidates getting the same marks in the written examination, their place in the merit list will be decided based on their date of birth, that is, in the age, the preferred candidate will be above the merit order.
In the case of two or more candidates receiving the same marks and having the same date of birth, their place in the merit list will be decided based on their educational qualification, i.e., candidates with higher academic qualifications will be ranked higher in the merit order. Despite this, if more than one candidate is the same, the preference of such candidates will be determined according to the English alphabetical order of the name as mentioned in their Tenth Board Certificate.
Bihar Police SI Recruitment 2019: Minimum qualification score for final merit list
The final merit list to be prepared based on the main written examination, the minimum qualifying score is 32% for the candidates belonging to SC, ST, and women, 34% for the candidates belonging to Extremely Backward Classes, 36.5% for the candidates of Backward Classes and general category candidates, minimum qualification scores will be 40%.
