Virtual national group meeting of ICAR-AICRP on forage crops and utilisation held – Times of India


PUNE: The ICAR-All India Coordinated Research Project on Forage Crops and Utilization, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh organized its “Virtual National Group Meeting Rabi – 2020-21” recently.

In his inaugural address, Tilak Raj Sharma, Deputy Director General (Crop Science), ICAR emphasized on developing an action plan to minimize the Berseem seed import.

A K Roy, project coordinator presented a brief introduction of the project, its salient achievements during the last three years, and a summary of various activities carried out during the Rabi 2019-20 along with new initiatives on future programmes.

Around nine publications including the ICAR-AICRP Annual Report on Rabi 2019-20, two books called “Database of Forage Crop Varieties: 2020”, “Glimpses of Tribal Sub Plan Activities of ICAR-AICRP on Forage Crops and Utilization”, along with one bulletin, “Technological Advances in Forage Crop Protection” were released during the occasion.
